At Vianne Jewellery, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. Every piece is carefully inspected before it leaves our workshop. If your jewellery experiences a manufacturing defect within the applicable warranty period, we will repair or replace it in accordance with the terms below.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under applicable consumer laws.

Warranty Period

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery:

Jewellery Type Warranty Period

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect the structural integrity or functionality of the jewellery.

Examples may include:

  • Loose or missing stones due to faulty setting workmanship.

  • Broken solder joints caused by manufacturing defects.

  • Structural faults in the metal resulting from the manufacturing process.

  • Defects in craftsmanship that prevent the jewellery from functioning as intended.

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Vianne Jewellery. We reserve the right to determine whether an issue is the result of a manufacturing defect or normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or improper care.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Scratches, dents, scuffs or surface marks.

  • Tarnishing or oxidation of sterling silver.

  • Fading, wear or loss of gold vermeil plating after six months of normal wear.

  • Damage caused by accidental impact, dropping, crushing or snagging.

  • Bent rings, bent settings, bent prongs or misshapen jewellery.

  • Damage caused by improper use, storage or care.

  • Exposure to chemicals, perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, cleaning products, swimming pools, hot tubs or salt water.

  • Damage caused by excessive force or pressure.

  • Loss or theft of jewellery.

  • Repairs, alterations or resizing carried out by third parties.

  • Damage resulting from third-party repairs or modifications.

  • Gemstone loss caused by accidental damage, impact, snagging, worn prongs or normal wear and tear.

  • Natural ageing of materials.

  • Changes in gemstone appearance due to exposure to sunlight, chemicals, cosmetics, lotions, perfumes or natural ageing.

Important Information About Rings

Rings are subjected to significantly more daily wear than other types of jewellery. They frequently come into contact with hard surfaces, water, soaps, cosmetics, cleaning products and other materials that can affect their appearance over time.

As a result, rings may develop:

  • Scratches and scuff marks.

  • Surface wear.

  • Dullness from everyday use.

  • Worn plating on gold vermeil jewellery.

  • Bent bands or settings.

  • Worn or damaged prongs.

These are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.

To help protect your jewellery, we recommend having ring settings and prongs professionally inspected every 6–12 months, particularly for rings worn daily.

Natural Gemstones

Many of our pieces feature natural gemstones.

Natural gemstones may display variations in colour, tone, inclusions and other characteristics. These natural features are part of the gemstone's unique beauty and are not considered defects.

Over time, gemstones may also appear less vibrant due to the build-up of oils, lotions, soaps and everyday residue. Regular cleaning can help restore their appearance.

Gold Vermeil & Plating

Gold vermeil jewellery features a thick layer of gold over sterling silver.

Over time, plating will naturally wear through contact with skin, sweat, body chemistry, cosmetics, water and everyday friction. The rate of wear varies between individuals and depends on how frequently the jewellery is worn.

Natural plating wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Any plating-related issues reported within six months of delivery that are determined to be the result of a manufacturing defect will be assessed under warranty.
